Denmark10 Aug 2026Novo Nordisk — Novo Nordisk and Amazon Web Services have formed a strategic partnership for agentic AI in drug discovery, opening a co-innovation hub at Novo Nordisk's King's Cross site in London to speed the journey from target to first-in-human dosing. AWS tools including Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Bio Discovery will help find targets and design therapies.
Denmark29 Apr 2026Region Hovedstaden (now Region Østdanmark) — Hospitals in the Capital Region of Denmark have used an AI fracture detection algorithm on emergency X-rays since January 2026, supporting decisions by junior doctors and treating nurses. It runs at emergency units including Bornholm, Hvidovre, Amager, Frederikssund, Helsingør, Hillerød, Frederiksberg, Bispebjerg and Glostrup, and will cover all of the future Region Østdanmark. The goal is shorter waits and quicker discharge for patients without fractures.

Shared AI infrastructure and three research AI labs follow, led by Morten Axel Pedersen, its first vice-rector for AI.
