Luxembourg to give all civil servants a sovereign AI chatbot

Government of Luxembourg — Luxembourg's government, launching the AI4LUX campaign, said every civil servant would get a sovereign AI chatbot within weeks, hosted on site under its Mistral AI partnership so data stays in the country. Staff are to process sensitive information securely with it and create personal agents for routine work. A legal chatbot for the Legilux platform is in development, and one for the most-visited state websites is being prepared.

Luxembourg drafts law to implement EU AI Act and designate regulators

Government of Luxembourg — Luxembourg's Bill No. 8476 sets out national authorities for EU AI Act implementation. The CNPD becomes the default market surveillance body, notified body for high-risk systems in law enforcement and immigration, and sandbox operator; ALIA takes on generative AI transparency oversight, forming the basis of AI Act compliance in Luxembourg. Submitted December 2024, the draft spent 2025 before the Media and Communications committee, drawing input from 12 bodies including the CNPD and Council of State.

Luxembourg unveils national AI strategy and data strategies

CNPD issues guidance on prohibited AI systems under EU AI Act
