Serbia launches Radoslav AI assistant for social protection

Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social AffairsSerbia's Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs put its first AI assistant for social protection queries, Radoslav, live on the eGovernment portal on 23 July 2026, running 24/7 without collecting personal data. The tool answers, conversationally, questions on qualifying for child support, family allowances and other welfare payments, plus application steps. Running on domestic infrastructure, including the Kragujevac supercomputer, the AI-powered social welfare chatbot clarifies rules rather than ruling on claims, leaving final decisions to human caseworkers.

National Bank of Serbia will use AI model to track prices

National Bank of SerbiaRetailers must now publish daily price lists, feeding National Bank of Serbia (NBS) AI price tracking that produces short-term inflation estimates, says Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic. The goal: an artificial intelligence model for inflation estimates showing price direction before official statistics arrive. NBS calls it a supplement to the Statistical Office's monthly reports, not a replacement.

Survey finds Serbian banks at 28% AI maturity in risk

KPMG / Association of Serbian BanksKPMG and the Association of Serbian Banks scored AI maturity in Serbian banking risk at just 28% across 18 lenders surveyed. Assessed dimensions: strategy, deployment depth, staff skills, risk controls, data quality, infrastructure.

Every entry on this page is a named organisation putting AI to work in a real job, taken from the State of Applied AI record. Each one is traced to the report it came from and dated, and where a figure is the organisation’s own the entry says so rather than presenting it as an independent result. Readiness, ecosystem and policy figures, where shown, are attributed on the card to the body that published them.

The record is maintained continuously by the Industrial Research Unit of the Straits Institute for Applied AI: entries are added as they are found and verified, not on a schedule, and nothing is published without an open source behind it. It currently holds 1114 entries across 249 countries.
