KIA México deploys Boston Dynamics Spot robot for factory inspections
KIA México — AI factory inspection robot Spot, built by Boston Dynamics, patrols KIA México's Pesquería plant in Nuevo León unsupervised, starting each day at 6am with nobody present. Heat and compressed-air-leak sensors feed data back while it maps the facility into a digital twin, on a line producing 64 vehicles per hour. Two further Boston Dynamics machines, the Stretch logistics unit and Atlas humanoid, appeared on-site for autonomous robotic inspection manufacturing trials, still under evaluation.
Mercado Libre and Samsung create Smart Week ad entirely with AI

Bayer México launches Carlota AI irrigation tool across 16 states
Bayer México — Carlota, Bayer México's AI irrigation tool, sends WhatsApp irrigation advice to farmers in 16 Mexican states. This AI-powered irrigation advisory system uses satellite imagery, field sensors, predictive algorithms and big data; its 257-device network cut water use 30% on average, saving 14 million-plus cubic metres to date.
Suri Services answers staff HR questions with its Eva AI agent
Suri Services — Suri Services uses Eva, an AI agent for HR queries, so employees check company policies and procedures without approaching the human-resources team, CEO Héctor Ocadiz told Publimetro. Automation and AI trimmed operating times by up to 40% and released over 420 work hours monthly, by company figures. Ocadiz wants tools like this HR assistant led by the business, not IT.

Every entry on this page is a named organisation putting AI to work in a real job, taken from the State of Applied AI record. Each one is traced to the report it came from and dated, and where a figure is the organisation’s own the entry says so rather than presenting it as an independent result. Readiness, ecosystem and policy figures, where shown, are attributed on the card to the body that published them.
The record is maintained continuously by the Industrial Research Unit of the Straits Institute for Applied AI: entries are added as they are found and verified, not on a schedule, and nothing is published without an open source behind it. It currently holds 4731 entries across 249 countries.
