Half of Bermuda residents use AI at least weekly

Narrative Research Bermuda — Narrative Research Bermuda puts weekly AI use at work at nearly six in ten employed residents, and half of residents use AI weekly privately. 78 per cent gave strongest agreement to regulating AI; 62 per cent fear for jobs, 58 per cent flag AI-related dangers and 57 per cent dread leaks of confidential or sensitive information, while 33 per cent voice excitement. Fieldwork ran 5 December 2025 to 4 January 2026 across 248 residents aged 18 upwards on its Bermuda Voice panel, where $75,000-plus earners showed heavier workplace AI adoption.

Chatmore is first Bermuda school to deploy CENTURY's AI platform

Chatmore International School — Chatmore International School has switched Years 2 to 11 onto CENTURY's AI learning platform, a Bermuda first, following a pilot. Staff sought bespoke study routes, instant feedback and usable data without extra workload. Secondary teacher Sandrine McGlashin records no pupil objections, with the AI-driven teaching tool mostly set for homework and brief lessons; head of school Britanni Butterworth points to stronger attainment among IGCSE pupils wanting extra drilling. Bermuda's regulator consults on responsible AI in financial services

Bermuda Monetary Authority — The Bermuda Monetary Authority is consulting on The Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence in Financial Services in Bermuda, AI guidance for financial firms on applying existing obligations to AI they develop, deploy or use. Covering operational resilience, cyber security, transparency, data oversight, risk management and governance, it adds no new requirements or separate AI licensing regime; responses close 30 October.

Bermuda will pilot an AI chatbot for pension calculations

Government of Bermuda — The Government of Bermuda will pilot an AI pension chatbot so staff answer pension queries faster and more accurately, with the Swiss-based non-profit Near Foundation as partner. Success would widen the AI-powered pension tool into a web tax portal plus calculator, letting Bermudians inspect records and transact with government systems. A government spokeswoman set out the plan in a press release issued after Premier David Burt attended NearCon in San Francisco on February 23 and 24.

62% of Bermuda directors say AI investment is paying off

PwC Bermuda — PwC's Caribbean Corporate Governance Survey 2026 - Bermuda Edition, June 2026, has 62 per cent of Bermuda directors seeing gains from AI and generative AI spending, yet only 29 per cent credit management with delivering AI and GenAI strategy. AI governance ties cybersecurity as top risk, each primary for 24 per cent; 41 per cent back the board's capacity to oversee AI and GenAI plans, 37 per cent confirm a formal route for AI-related opportunities and risks, 37 per cent report thin board education. Just 7 per cent rate AI expertise top when recruiting, and PwC Bermuda partner Marisa Savage said boardrooms now demand different skills, leaving board AI oversight short.
