University of the Virgin Islands — University of the Virgin Islands' Board of Trustees has unanimously adopted an AI governance policy for higher education, giving faculty, staff and students shared ethical-use guidance. A joint committee from all three groups wrote the rules on AI honesty in coursework, leaving departments a base for their own procedures.

USVI Legislature introduces bill to regulate AI-generated political ads

Legislature of the United States Virgin Islands — The 36th Legislature of the United States Virgin Islands introduced Bill 36-0298 to amend Title 18 of the Virgin Islands Code, setting rules for materially deceptive AI-generated political communications. Election materials containing AI-generated content would need a disclosure. The Committee on Rules and Judiciary received the bill.
