CONATEL trains staff in generative AI under project Konbit IA
Conseil National des Télécommunications (CONATEL) — Haiti's Conseil National des Télécommunications (CONATEL) ran generative AI training for staff over three days, 29-31 July. Sessions covered prompt engineering and practical tool use. École Supérieure d'Infotronique d'Haïti (ESIH) taught the course at CONATEL's Delmas site under Konbit IA, a push for building AI skills across public bodies.

Haiti's central bank trains its managers in AI
Banque de la République d'Haïti (BRH) — BRH, the Bank of the Republic of Haiti, now delivers AI skills in central banking coaching to managers, spanning artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and ethics. Governor Ronald Gabriel unveiled the plan at the Ayiti IA 2025 summit as a route to embed innovation within institutional culture, and a possible template for national tech upskilling policy.
Haiti's North-East brings AI into exam-results quality control
Direction Départementale d'Éducation du Nord-Est, MENFP — Haiti's North-East departmental education directorate now applies AI exam quality control before state examination results are finally validated, a step in modernising public education administration. Later that month the education ministry released first results for the 9th fundamental year, the baccalaureate and the ENIJE teacher-training exam.
Haiti's Sunrise Airways launches an AI assistant for passengers on WhatsApp
Sunrise Airways — Haitian carrier Sunrise Airways has put a multilingual AI customer service assistant on WhatsApp to help passengers before, during and after flights. The airline expects the WhatsApp helper to smooth contact with travellers during delays, cancellations and other disruption.
