Suriname30 Apr 2025Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken, International Business en Internationale Samenwerking (BIBIS) — Suriname's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Business and International Cooperation (BIBIS) deployed an AI chatbot for visa applications on 30 April 2025, teaming up with VFS Global to build a fresh e-visa platform around it. This automated visa assistant instantly resolves traveller queries about procedures, and the wider system also takes care of online payments. The debut wrapped up AI Awareness Month, a run of workshops that schooled civil servants in responsible AI use.
