Trinidad and Tobago launches an AI-avatar learning platform for schools

Ministry of Education — Trinidad and Tobago's education ministry launched an AI learning platform for secondary students, centred on an interactive AI avatar that walks pupils through problems step by step. Spanish, ICT, integrated science, social sciences, English language arts and mathematics are covered, rolling out term by term, with laptops for Form Two teachers of those subjects. Education minister Michael Dowlath says one more explanation often separates a student who cannot do something from one who understands.

Trinidad and Tobago gives Form One pupils AI-avatar digital textbooks

Ministry of Education, Trinidad and Tobago — Trinidad and Tobago's education ministry launched AI digital textbooks in English and mathematics for Form One students on 21 April, on laptops issued after the Secondary Entrance Assessment. Pupils can quiz an AI avatar about schoolwork during and after school, and education minister Michael Dowlath expects savings of TT$1,000 to TT$1,500 for Form One and Two parents next year.

Trinidad and Tobago launches Anansi AI digital assistant for government services

iGovTT — iGovTT and TT Connect built Anansi, an AI digital assistant for government services now fielding queries from citizens of Trinidad and Tobago. Type a plain-language question on any device and the tool searches a 7,000-strong bank of frequently asked questions spanning over 30 ministries; anything unresolved reaches a human TT Connect agent instead, so AI-driven public service queries always get answered.
