The Government will not lay software over today's forms, but rewire the workflow beneath, so a task that used to pass across a desk becomes automatic. A secure national identity card anchors the joined-up state these public sector AI tools serve.

The rule obliges them to check every fact and citation an AI tool produces and to stand fully behind whatever they file, regardless of how it was drafted. Three principles anchor the guidance: openness about AI use in court submissions, careful checking of outputs, and personal accountability for filings.

AI-driven elderly monitoring of vital signs, medication reminders and fall prevention aims to cut hospitalisations.
Bahamas1 Jun 2024Parliament of The Bahamas — Bahamas' Electricity Act sets AI regulation in the electricity sector under Section 18, letting the Utilities Regulation and Competition Authority write binding rules for artificial intelligence use by power companies. Any such rules must satisfy ten named principles, among them safety, transparency, fairness, accountability and redress alongside security, robustness, explainability, governance and contestability. The statute defines artificial intelligence as tech letting a device or programme be trained or coded to sense surroundings, process data automatically, and produce decisions or suggestions — an unusually direct embedding of AI oversight in utilities law.

Shoppers pushed back, saying a label built on island culture should have booked real faces. General manager Carole Barnett replied that campaigns have leaned on local talent since 2014, and that AI fashion imagery suited this shoot because Coral World itself has closed.

The Utilities Regulation and Competition Authority delivered this shift through a revised Code of Practice for Content Regulation (ECS 78/2024, 20 December 2024), weaving AI-generated content rules into broader service standards rather than issuing a standalone deepfake measure.

Asked aloud, Roro returns median prices, sales volumes, price-per-square-foot and pricing shifts across Old Fort Bay, rebuilt daily from Bahamas Real Estate Association feeds. The brokerage AI system also opens client files, drafts compliance paperwork and handles diaries and correspondence; nobody outside the firm may sign in.
