Ministerio de Educación, Ciencia y Tecnología de El Salvador — El Salvador's education minister, Karla Trigueros, says 171 pilot public schools outscored the national average in science, mathematics and reading, performing on a par with Germany and Sweden, crediting AI tutoring in schools, teacher training, learning monitoring and technology. OECD's PISA for Schools assessed 1,198 students in June 2026; the schools, selected for internet access and infrastructure instead of past results, do not represent the national system, whose PISA 2025 results differed. Extension to all public schools within 18 months is planned, though no independent evaluation has isolated the AI tutors' effect.

Government of El Salvador (DoctorSV) — President Nayib Bukele has extended DoctorSV, El Salvador's digital health platform, to chronic patients with kidney disease, hypertension or diabetes, announcing its second stage in a national broadcast. Each patient gets round-the-clock AI health agents monitoring them, and doctors receive patients with history, questionnaires and diagnostic suggestions already processed by the platform's AI.
