Togo puts AI fraud detection behind its product-marking controls
Togo Ministry of Economy and Strategic Oversight — Togo's economy minister Badanam Patoki unveiled the Digital Market Intelligence platform in Lomé on 12 March 2026, bringing AI fraud detection and data analysis to automated product-marking enforcement. SICPA's Togolese subsidiary built the tool, which flags potentially counterfeit consumer goods so Office Togolais des Recettes agents and Ministry of Commerce inspectors can aim inspections and market surveillance.
