CUBE pilots AI learning tutor in Gambian secondary schools

CUBE The Gambia — CUBE The Gambia is piloting its home-built CUBE AI Tutor on 150 secondary pupils across three Region 1 schools, trialling AI tutoring in Gambian classrooms: St Augustine's Senior Secondary School, St Joseph's Senior Secondary School and Charles Jow Memorial Academy. The offline-ready, curriculum-matched tool, an AI learning platform for secondary students, adds speech-to-text and text-to-speech. Pupils trial it for two months, then give feedback.

MoHERST launches AI timetable app for Gambian universities

Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (MoHERST) — Gambia's Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (MoHERST) rolled out TITA, an AI timetable app for Gambian universities that builds class schedules automatically. Nigerian firm TITA Universal Services Ltd built the mobile platform, which also handles course registration, tuition payments, CGPA tracking and assignment submissions at public universities nationwide, centralising tasks once split across separate manual systems via an automatic timetable generator.

Gambia launches AI-powered misinformation response centre

Government of The Gambia — The Government of The Gambia has commissioned the National Misinformation and Disinformation Response Centre, an AI-powered misinformation detection platform under the Ministry of Information that scans online conversations, spots emerging false-content trends and verifies claims against trusted sources, functioning as an AI-driven disinformation monitoring hub. Officials call it West Africa's first such centre, built by Gambian firm Dundal Systems with ECOWAS backing and unveiled at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Centre.
