Liberia Revenue Authority — The Liberia Revenue Authority is building an AI-powered contact centre for tax enquiries, aiming to give people answers on customs and duties without a manual lookup. Staff from the Taxpayer Services Division met partner Kwagei Group at a Margibi County retreat to shape the underlying knowledge base, overseen by the LRA Tax Knowledge Governance Committee. Complaints and service questions will also route through the new AI customer service system once live.

Central Bank of Liberia deploys AI for macroeconomic forecasting

Central Bank of Liberia — Helen Momo built the Central Bank of Liberia's new AI macroeconomic forecasting system, calling it the region's "First Sovereign AI Infrastructure for Predicting Macroeconomic Forecasting and Financial Intelligence in the Region." Shown publicly at the Liberia Technology Summit, the tool generates financial intelligence and projects economic trends for the bank. Momo, a Harvard-educated technologist from Liberia, designed it to serve the institution directly, giving the country a homegrown alternative for economic trend prediction rather than relying on outside systems.
