Brunei's AI ethics guide gets a second edition covering generative AI

Authority for Infocommunications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam — Brunei Darussalam's Authority for Infocommunications Technology Industry has overhauled the Guide on Artificial Intelligence Governance and Ethics into a second edition. Generative AI hazards now enter Brunei AI governance, showcased through Bruneian companies already running the principles-based approach. AITI has separately released a Guide on Responsible Use of Generative AI — Brunei Darussalam AI ethics guidance on wording requests, and doing so ethically.

Brunei starts a national AI programme aimed at 550 MSMEs

Brunei Economic Development Board — Brunei Economic Development Board has begun AI adoption for MSMEs through the AI for MSME Advancement in ASEAN programme: 550 firms by May 2027, in 11 cohorts. Small-business artificial intelligence training shows owners to write promotional posts automatically, answer buyers faster through AI-powered chatbots, and hold stock, sales and daily records together.
