Israeli courts roll out AI assistant to 1,650 judges and aides
Israel Courts Administration — Israel's courts administration is extending 'Chat HaMishpat', an AI assistant for judges, from pilot to every judge's and legal assistant's chambers, 1,650 people. The court AI tool, built on Google's Gemini engine by the administration's digital technologies division, handles only case documents securely, summarising pleadings and testimony, analysing documents and making tables. It is meant to lift technical work from judges without touching judicial discretion.

Israel's judiciary issues AI ethics code for judges and staff
Israel Judicial Authority — Israel's Supreme Court president, Yitzhak Amit, and courts director Tzachi Uziel have issued an AI ethics code for courts to every judge, registrar and staff member. Prepared by a recently appointed team, the judicial AI rules set principles for responsible use across the courts' work and will be reviewed and updated periodically.

Supreme Court makes Ramat Gan pay for AI-fabricated citations
Supreme Court of Israel — Israel's Supreme Court made Ramat Gan municipality pay a resident NIS 30,000 in costs after AI-fabricated citations tainted its court filings and its school-transport decision for a special-education pupil. Justice Noam Sohlberg noted the erroneous, partly invented, likely AI-generated references recurred three or four times, even after the court raised them, and said uncontrolled AI use by a public authority toward citizens is especially serious. The municipality says it will learn from this and pursue the lawyer responsible.
Israeli tax authority says AI tools found NIS 20bn in discrepancies
Israel Tax Authority — Israel Tax Authority Director Shay Aharonovich says AI tax audit tools have uncovered NIS 20 billion in discrepancies, with AI-based checks comparing capital declarations against the authority's other financial data. At the Eli Hurvitz Conference on Economy and Society in Jerusalem, he said about 4 per cent of filings are scanned today.

Clalit launches AI PRO to find patients at risk before symptoms
Clalit Health Services — Clalit Health Services' new in-house AI PRO applies AI risk prediction to millions of medical records, flagging at-risk patients sometimes before any doctor visit and issuing about 200,000 personalised treatment recommendations monthly. A predictive-screening extension shown to over 800 clinicians at a Tel Aviv conference aims at spotting chronic kidney disease and bowel cancer early from background conditions and test-result changes. Clalit keeps final decisions with the treating doctor.

Sheba's emergency department deploys ambient AI to write clinical notes
Sheba Medical Center — ARC, innovation arm of Israel's Sheba Medical Center, deployed SmartER, an ambient AI clinical documentation platform, in its emergency department. Built with Sheba's AI Center and partner ScribeMD, the AI scribe assembles history, nursing intake and prior results pre-consultation, turns the conversation into a structured note and drafts a discharge summary for review.

Israel says all middle-school pupils will learn English with AI
Ministry of Education (Israel) — Israel's Education Ministry will move every middle-school pupil to AI English learning next school year, with teachers guiding each pupil's progress. The ministry also plans to widen Project 720, which pairs pupils with an AI learning assistant and shows teachers live where pupils struggle, from about 28 pilot schools to 180 middle schools.
